Sim:Teaching is a simulation for practising diagnostic reasoning in education. Its learning design brings written records, conversations, simulated classroom observation and case-linked notes into a shared workspace. Learners integrate these perspectives and sources of evidence to form reasoned educational judgments about student cases.

System design
From evidence to educational judgment
Evidence across sources. Simulated classroom observation is central to the learning design: what learners see and hear becomes evidence to consider alongside student records, assessments and case documents. Bringing these sources together encourages a reasoned view of the case from multiple perspectives.
Conversations and case-linked notes. Conversations with parents, pupils and colleagues add perspective alongside written records. Learners record their interpretations alongside the evidence and can return to their notes while exploring other parts of the workspace.
Research-informed diagnostic learning. GEProS draws on a long-term collaboration with researchers at Paderborn University, bringing together academic research, including doctoral work, and practical simulation design to support diagnostic learning in education.
